How To: Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Storagely

Two-factor Authentication provides an additional layer of protection by requiring a verification code in addition to your password. This extra step helps prevent unauthorized access, even if a password is compromised.

  • First, navigate to your Storagely dashboard and log in.
  • Click "Account" on the left corner of the window.

  • If you haven't already, please download the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  • Once downloaded, open the App on your phone.
  • Click "Enable 2FA" in the window

  • Open the Authenticator App on your smartphone
  • Hit the "+" button in the right-hand corner
  • Choose "Scan a QR code" from the list

  • Hold your phone up to the screen to scan the QR code

  • Find the 6-digit code from the Authenticator App named "Storagely"

  • Enter the verification code into the code field.

  • Click "Save changes"

Next, you will need to sign out and sign back in to confirm that 2FA works as expected.

  • To do so, Click "Users" on the left
  • Then, click "Sign Out" on the right

  • Once signed out. You will be redirected to an "All Locations" page. This is expected.
  • Simply navigate to the normal sign-in page used to access the Storagely dashboard.
    • Enter in the Username & Password
  • Next, you'll be prompted to add the 6-digit code
    • Click "Confirm code"
  • You should be logged in and ready to navigate the dashboard as usual.
