How to Manually Update Your Website's Google Reviews

If you're managing Google Business reviews on your website and notice that the review count is not updating automatically, you can perform a manual sync from the Storagely dashboard.

Follow this step-by-step guide to ensure your website reflects the accurate number of Google Business reviews.

Step 1: Log in to the Customer's Portal

  1. Access the customer's Storagely portal.
  2. Navigate to their Settings and locate the Google Reviews section.
    1. Dashboard settings

Step 2: Create a New Review ID

  2. Paste the Place ID into the Place ID Field.
  3. Enter the customer's country (e.g., "United States" or “Canada”).
  4. Click Send to generate a new Review ID.
  5. Confirm that a new Review ID is displayed.

Step 3: Update the Review ID

  1. Copy the newly generated Review ID.

Note: Troubleshooting Blank Review Counts

  • If the review count disappears after sending the new Review ID, this is normal.
  • Simply re-paste the Review ID and click Send again.
  • You may need to repeat this process a few times until the review count updates properly.

Step 5: Verify the Update

  1. Check the customer’s website to confirm the new review count is displayed.
  2. If the count hasn't changed, it may indicate that no new reviews have been added.
    1. Review Count

This manual update ensures that the numerical review count on the website matches the number of reviews on the customer's Google Business Profile.
