This article walks through the process of setting up or claiming Apple Maps profiles.
Follow these initial steps to get logged in:- Navigate to businessconnect.apple.com.
- Click on the blue, "Get Started" button in the center of the page OR click on the blue, "Sign In" button in the top right corner.
- Log in following the prompts OR create an Apple ID to be associated with your locations.
- Choose the size of your business from the dialog boxes.
- In the search bar, type the name of your business and you’ll see possible matches.
If a business is UNLISTED → Click "add a new location with this name."
- Enter the business address.
- As you fill it in, you’ll see a pin pop up over the map.
- Move the map until the pin position aligns with your business location.
- Next, you’ll be asked to enter details about your business.
- Type, phone number, and website, etc.
- On the next screen, set up your business hours.
- Highlight the days the facility is open from the top menu.
- Then, place your daily hours below.
- If this is the first location you’ve set up... you’ll be asked about your company info on the next screen.
- Make sure to fill out all of the information they ask for.
- Now it’s time for verification.
- These options sometimes vary.
- You can either verify via text message with the phone number you listed for the location, OR by uploading a utility bill for the location.
- If you’re unable to verify with the phone... the document upload will fail if the number doesn’t match the website.
- If your website has cycling tracking numbers that display dynamically you may experience some issues verifying.
- The workaround for this is to create 1 PDF document that includes a screenshot of your actual facility phone number and the facility utility bill - Apple only supports one document submission at a time.
- If you already have a Storagely website... you will navigate to the location page, hover over the "Call" button so the facility number pops up, and take a screenshot.
- If your website has cycling tracking numbers that display dynamically you may experience some issues verifying.
- Please note, the service address or mailing address listed on the utility bill must be an EXACT match for the location you’re verifying.
If a business is already LISTED → Select it from the drop down list and then follow the same steps as above.
If you’re adding more than one location → Select the "Add" button from the top right and then follow the same steps as above.
- When asked... add this location to the business profile you made during the initial steps.
