How To: Test Your New Rental System

In this article we review what steps you should take to test your reservations and paid rentals.

By the time you are reading this article, the Storagely team has already completed a reservation and paid rental with your new rental system. 

We need your help to verify that the new system is working flawlessly prior to launching the site!

We need to test the Reservation process AND the Rental process. 

 

First, we need to verify that the test rental and reservations we have made are populating in your account:

First Step: Confirm that both the test reservation and test rental have been added correctly to your property management software and that the credit card has been processed.

If you can confirm that everything appears correct, it is your turn to test them yourself! 

Second Step: Go to any of your location pages and click reserve. Complete the information with real information. As you complete the reservation, observe the steps you are taking to see if anything needs to be modified. 

 

1. Check your personal email inbox and verify that you received the reservation confirmation email. Make note of anything that might be incorrect or needs to be changed. 

 

2. Check the local manager's email inbox and verify that they received a similar email with the details of the reservation. Make note of anything that might be incorrect or needs to be changed. 

Now Repeat the same steps above for the Rental Process

Third Step: Go to any of your location pages and click rent. Complete the information with real information. As you completing the rental observe the steps you are taking to see if anything needs to be modified. Use a real credit card to complete the transaction. You do not have to sign the lease if you do not want to.

2. Check the local managers email inbox and verify that they received a similar email with the details of the rental. Make note of anything that might be incorrect or needs to be changed. 

Cancel and Refund both Storagely's and your reservations and paid rentals tests.
